GPtents Frequently Asked Questions – FAQ

  • Can I pay by credit card?

    In each location, you can either pay in advance (via bank transfer), or upon arrival, but only in cash. If you do not want to carry such amount with you, let us know on [email protected] for bank transfer information and pay in advance.

  • What mattresses do you use in the tents?

    In most locations, we use very comfortable air mattresses. There is also a bed linen, so as to provide a hotel standard.

  • What is the price of a tent? Do I have to pay something extra on site?

    When you book a tent, the price is final and includes a luxury GPtent, 2 people, all the equipment, facilities, parking and breakfast. In some locations, there is also wifi and electricity available for no extra costs.

  • How can I get to your campsite?

    Full address, Maps and GPS location details are available via the relevant website page.

  • When can I check in and check out?

    Each day from Thursday (or Wednesday) until Monday, you can check-in from 9 am until 10 pm and must check out until 10 am. However, do not panic if you need to check in sooner or later – just write us an email or call us and we will figure something out.  

  • Can I check out after the race?

    Yes, please pack your things and empty your tent until 10 in the morning. You can leave the car with your stuff in the camping. If you are leaving by taxi or train, you can leave your baggage at the reception.

  • Is your campsite safe?

    GPtents staff is present at the camping all the time and patrols the site but cannot be everywhere at one time. Therefore, it is better to take valuable things with you or leave them locked in your vehicle/tent. GPtents is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury to property and persons etc. during your stay.

  • Where do I park my car?

    The parking place is always situated in designated area in the camping, very close to the tents.

  • How do I check in?

    Please go to the GPtents reception with your booking confirmation. The receptionist will ask you to fill in the accommodation card. After filling it, you will be required to pay for the accommodation, if not paid in advance. You will also receive a tent lock with keys and a wristband for each member of your party. These need to be worn for the duration of your stay. If lost or damaged, replacement wristbands are available at reception. You will then be shown to your tent(s) by a member of staff.

  • How do I check out?

    On check out, please ensure your tent is clean and tidy, and return to reception with the tent lock.

  • Do you require any kind of deposit for the tent or equipment?

    No. However, we kindly ask you to treat your tent and equipment nicely a do not damage anything. If the damage is made, appropriate compensation might be required from you.

  • Do you have toilets and hot showers on site?

    Yes, all our campsites have these facilities. There are enough toilets and showers with hot water for all our clients. They are cleaned regularly.

  • Is there a restaurant or a bar in the camping?

    Some of our campsites offer a bar, restaurant or evening entertainment. Please see our site-specific webpage for more information.

  • Can I have electricity in my pre-erected GPtent?

    In some destinations (currently in Austria), we can bring electricity to your tent free of charge. Just ask at the reception and our staff will „plug you in“. On other locations, you can charge your phone at the reception.

  • What is included in the pre-erected tents?

    We provide 2 comfortable single foam mattresses or airbeds, 2 great blankets, 2 pillows, bed linnen, 2 towels, camping lamp and a shampoo/shower gel.

  • Is the camping loud at night?

    From 1 am to 6 am, we kindly ask our guests to keep the voices and music down, so all guests can have a good night’s sleep.

  • Is the breakfast included?

    Yes. At every destination, we provide a wonderful breakfast for our customers. You can get there a great coffee or tea, juice and water, something sweet such as cereals and cakes, bread with cheese, ham and more, fruit and vegetable.

  • Do you provide tables and chairs for renting?

    We offer chairs and tables in limited numbers only. Ask at the reception upon arrival.
